Rainaskot - Lamjung
Do you know where is the starting point of Nepal ? Everyone knows and tells Gorkha is starting place but it’s not true by the way Before Gorkha there was another starting point. First of all let me inform you that this is a historical place. History of Nepal starts from here.
Rainaskot is located in Lamjung District of Nepal. Lamjung is neighbors District of Gorkha. We can see Gorkha’s Ligligkot from here. Rainaskot and Ligligkot is parallel hills series. But it has quite far distance between two hills. As per ancient people’s story Shah Royal families is originated from here. And one of brother is angry with own older brother then he left home and went towards Gorkha. By Luckily he joined race of King. At that time Ligligkot has own culture to be King candidate have to race from Chepe river to Top of Ligligkot hill. Chepe river is between both hills. And he won the race and he became new King of Ligligkot. Then he united Gorkha and Shah families started to rules so that everyone tells that Gorkha is starting point of Nepal. But logically its a Rainaskot where was starting point of Nepal.
Rainaskot management committee was succeed to preserve history. Although bad roadways. It’s on the top of village. Now a days motor-able way is reached but it’s not very well. Road is 80% pitched but some places are difficult to drive. We have to prepare for tour to this place. You have to maintain your vehicles and refueled.
There are good facilities to stay. There are available home stays. You can enjoy with natural and hilli stations’s peaceful and clean environment. There is a big size football ground. In this ground tournaments are occasionally being organised. You can enjoy at this time. I think this will enjoyable to experience football match at top. Other time we can use ground as parking lots. From ground we have to walk few stairs of stone. In the forest there are so many laligurans plant. You have to choose right time of your tour to see beautiful flowers. At Top of hill there is a temple and View point.
